Frequently asked Questions

How far in advance should I book a session?

I recommend booking your session at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance. I also accommodate short notice bookings whenever possible.

Where do the sessions take place?

I prefer shooting outdoors to make the most of natural light. Alternatively, sessions can take place at your home, office, or another place where you feel comfortable. Ultimately, good light and a relaxed atmosphere are key.

What is the best time to have a session?

For outdoor photography, ideal times are shortly before and after sunrise, and before and shortly after sunset, or on cloudy days. Indoor sessions are best when rooms are naturally lit, typically late morning, noon, and afternoon. Rest assured, I'll ensure your photos look great regardless of lighting conditions.

What should I wear for the photo session?

Wear something comfortable and appropriate for the session's theme. If multiple people are involved, dressing in a coordinated style can enhance the overall look. While matching colors are optional, they can create a cohesive vibe. Aim for simple clothing (without big text and drawing) that does not distract.

Is it possible to include pets in my photo session?

Absolutely! Pets add joy to sessions and I love having them. There's no additional fee for including pets, but please inform me in advance.

What are your payment options and policies?

Once we confirm your session date, I'll send the contract and a bill for a 30% deposit. Your date will be reserved for 48 hours, during which I ask for the signed contract and deposit to secure the date. The remaining payment is due on the session day. I accept online payments only; no cash or TWINT.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel up to 1 month in advance to receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations afterward will forfeit the 30% deposit, though exceptions for extraordinary circumstances may be considered. Sessions can also be rescheduled (conditions apply).

What if there is bad weather on my session date?

If weather conditions are unfavorable for outdoor sessions, you can reschedule. Alternatively, I can provide you with cute umbrellas that will make for a special photo session. You can also move the session indoors. Drone photography is not available on windy, rainy or very cold days.

Is there a transportation fee?

There is no transportation fee within Zürich and might waive it for surrounding areas that are quick and easy to reach. Otherwise, I charge 1 CHF per km. All costs will be communicated upfront.

How and when will I receive my photos?

Your photos will be delivered online in print and web formats (JPEG). I carefully select and edit each photo, so delivery typically takes up to 7 days.

To what extent do you edit the photos?

All sessions include editing: color correction, cropping, and light skin retouching. Extensive skin retouching or body modifications are available for an additional fee, though I generally recommend minimal alterations for family sessions.

Do you offer prints?

I do not offer prints for the time being. However I do offer the photos in print size, so you can definitely print them yourself.

Can I get all photos you took during the session?

I do not offer all the pictures taken during the session. As a photographer half of my work is taking your photos, but the other half is choosing the best pictures and making the most out of them through a careful edit. Additional edited photos can be purchased if desired.

Do I have to agree to my photos being published?

I value your privacy, so the choice is always yours. To maintain the sustainability of my business, I do charge a 30% premium when photos cannot be included in my portfolio. This compensates for the lost opportunity to showcase my work, which helps attract new clients.

Am I allowed to sell the photos or use them for commercial purposes?

Photos are for private use only under the standard contract. They can be shared or posted but not used for direct profit, such as selling them to advertise products. Event photos may be used for event promotion on social media but not for product promotion. For commercial use, please request a special contract.

What extra services do you offer?

I offer drone photography (weather and location permitting), professional skin retouching, and body or face modifications for an additional fee. I'm also open to discussing any special requests you may have.
